My name is Jakob Oliver Nicolaides.

I'm a senior software engineer from Leeds who partners with agencies to deliver production-grade web applications with reliability, precision and speed.

With 10+ years of experience, I build complex systems: booking platforms, ecommerce stores, payment integrations, and internal tools. I work across the full stack and learn new frameworks fast.

I work across the full stack; whether that's modern JavaScript frameworks on the frontend or server-side languages for APIs and business logic, with whatever tooling the project requires.

Most of my recent work has been PHP-based agency projects. Booking systems, payment integrations, ecommerce platforms, and internal applications built on WordPress, Laravel, Symfony, Magento, and Shopify.

But I'm not tied to any particular stack. I've built VR experiences in Unity, worked on game engines in C++ and developed real-time systems, all of which required learning new frameworks and solving hard technical problems under tight deadlines.

I prioritise delivering working software on time. If your project uses React, Vue, Node, or any other modern stack, I'll get up to speed fast and deliver professional results.

Most of my work is white label agency projects, so QuickBall represents one of the few personal projects I can showcase publicly.

Built with my friend Sam, it features a complex Stripe integration that automates reimbursements between pitch bookers and players.

I'm currently available for new projects from March 2026.
